Beautiful Custom Iron Gate
We hired Steve to replace some wooden fencing with wrought iron fencing and to also add a gorgeous wrought iron gate. I was impressed with Steve’s patience and attention to detail. I was super impressed watching him as he was teaching one of his younger apprentice how to check and double check everything. You don’t often see contractors who are patient and a low pressure and calm personality like Steve. No over promising. And no under delivering. You get what he said you would get. He was very easy to work with and the work was outstanding.

I have known and worked with Steve Hicks and his crew (most of whom are family) for about ten years, and I continue to work with them demonstrating staying power, experience, and the ability to retain clients for repeat business.
- Unquestionable honesty and trustworthiness proven over ten years of experience.
- They say what they mean and mean what they say; showing up when they say they will, and stand behind their work after the project is finished.
- Clear explanations, reasonable bids, and little waste when finished. The site is left clean at the end of the day.
- Innovative ideas based on sound construction principles and meticulous attention to detail (being a retired neurosurgeon, I have some experience with attention to detail).
- Price is negotiable, quality of work is not. You don’t get a Ferrari for the price of a Kia, but you do get two dollars of value for every dollar you spend.
- I now have a two story house with a replaced south facing wall, windows and sliders that don’t leak air or water, a two story elevator that is dry and functional, a potting shed that you could live in, and a deck on which you could land an airplane.
